Tony serves as the CrowdRx EMS Director, overseeing medical operations at major events, including Burning Man. He has spent the last 35 years in a variety of public safety roles, first as a career firefighter and paramedic, then transitioning into law enforcement. He spent time in patrol and as an academy instructor, but it was his 14-year tenure on a full-time SWAT team that would position him for his next career.

Tony retired from the police department in 2008 to take a position as a Special Operations Instructor with the United States Secret Service, where he trained some of the most elite tactical units in federal law enforcement. In his current position as an Emergency Services Specialist, Tony continues to teach special operations teams and protection details as the Secret Service’s Lead Casualty Care Instructor. He is also a regular instructor at the International Law Enforcement Academy in Budapest, Bangkok, and San Salvador.

In addition to teaching, Tony provides operational medical support to various law enforcement missions within the Secret Service. Additionally, he has been responsible for coordinating the health and medical readiness for a number of National Special Security Events (NSSE), including the 2015 Papal Visit, our nation’s largest NSSE.
